The name cearadactylus comes from the Searos region of Brazil, where its fossils have been found. It is a typical Early Cretaceous pterosaur. Judging by its long, narrow beak with long, interlocking teeth at the very end, cearadactylus subsisted by catching fish from lakes and rivers.
The discovery of fossils of these flying reptile embryos has revealed to scientists that, thanks to their well-developed wing membranes, these creatures were able to fly from birth.
