Classification: Lizarddecks Dinosaurs, sauropods, titanosaurs

Body length: 25 m

Body weight: 80 t

Period: Late Jurassic

Localities: North America

Brachiosaurus is one of the tallest and largest dinosaurs ever discovered. It had a long neck, a small head and a relatively short, thick tail. Brachiosaurus was an herbivore, which ate plants.
Its main food probably came from the tops of trees, which it ate with its chisel-shaped teeth. Brachiosaurs probably travelled in herds and migrated when local food sources became scarce.
Their best defence was size, plus a long tail with which they could strike most of their attackers. Brachiosaurs, like other sauropods, had a lifespan of around 100 years.
