Parazaurolophus was a duck-billed dinosaur with a long crest. It had sharp vision and hearing but no other means of defence against predators. Its beak was horny and toothless except for a few teeth in its jaws.
Parazaurolophus may have been a herding animal, migrating from the coast to higher ground for breeding. It was herbivorous, eating pine needles, leaves and twigs.
Parazaurolophus walked and ran on two legs and was one of the faster dinosaurs, compared to others. It probably walked on all four legs foraging for food and plants and spent some time in water.
